Scope

This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, how long we keep it, who we share it with, and your rights under UK data protection laws (UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018). It covers SPS and SHD now and post-migration (SHD content moving under the SPS site’s blog section).

Children

Our services and website are for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child provided data, email info@secretpropertystaging.co.uk so we can delete it.

What we collect

  • Project & Property: property details, photos/videos you share, access info, timelines.
  • Communication: messages via website forms, email, phone, WhatsApp, social DMs.
  • Transaction: quotes, invoices, payments, service history.
  • Technical & Usage: IP, device/browser, pages visited, timestamps, approximate location (analytics).
  • Marketing Preferences.

How we collect it

  • Directly from you (forms, email, phone, WhatsApp, DMs).
  • Automatically (cookies/analytics).
  • From third parties where you ask us to liaise (e.g., your agent/representative) or referrals.

How we use your data (lawful bases)

  • Provide quotes, bookings, and services (contract/steps before contract).
  • Communicate about enquiries, scheduling, and project updates (contract/legitimate interests).
  • Coordinate deliveries and site access (contract/legitimate interests).
  • Issue invoices, take payment, keep accounts (legal obligation—HMRC).
  • Improve sites and services via analytics (legitimate interests).
  • Send marketing updates if you opt in (consent; withdraw any time).
  • Protect our business (fraud/security/legal claims) (legitimate interests/legal obligations).

We retain personal data for up to six (6) years after your enquiry or project—primarily for legal/accountingcompliance (HMRC) and to manage warranties or disputes. We may retain longer if required by law or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Where possible, we anonymise data for analytics and service improvement.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data. No method is 100% secure. If a data incident poses a risk to your rights and freedoms, we’ll act in line with our legal obligations.
